Είναι τόσο περίπλοκες οι ανθρώπινες σχέσεις, που είναι ικανές να δημιουργήσουν τέχνη, και αυτό μας το αποδεικνυεί το έργο της Chiharu Shiota. Η ιαπωνικής καταγωγής καλλιτέχνης, επέλεξε να παρουσιάσει τη τέχνη της στη πολιτιστική πρωτεύουσα της Ευρώπης 2017, τη Πάφο! Το έργο της ονομάζεται "A Walk through the line" και ανήκει στη οικογένεια των installations. Η Chiharu Shiota χρησιμοποιεί ένα κόκκινο κορδόνι, το οποίο συμβολίζει τη σχέση μεταξύ των ανθρώπων σε ένα χρονολόγιο. Η κόκκινη αυτή γραμμή μπορεί στη πορεία της να κοπεί, να μπερδευτεί, ή να δεθεί με κόμπο με μια άλλη γραμμή, όπως ακριβώς συμβαίνει και στις ανθρώπινες σχέσεις. Ο επισκέπτης λοιπόν καλείται να περπατήσει στο χώρο, να περιπλανηθεί και μαζί με τις γραμμές να μπερδευτεί νοητικά, να σκεφτεί και να συλογιστεί μέσα από τις γραμμές αυτές. Το έργο έχει στηθεί σε μια σπηλιά στη Πάφο και σας περιμένει μέχρι το τέλος της χρονιάς να το θαυμάσετε. Ελπίζω να σας φάνηκε ενδιαφέρον. Η εμπειρία αλλά και το θέαμα θα σας μείνουν αξέχαστα!

Human relationships are so complex that they make the perfect inspiration for art, and this is demonstrated by the work of Chiharu Shiota. The Japanese artist originally chose to present her art in the cultural capital of Europe 2017, Paphos! Her work is called "A Walk through the Line" and belongs to a family of similar installations. Chiharu Shiota uses red string, which symbolizes the relationships between people on multiple timelines. This red line may, in its course, be cut, confused, or knotted with another line, as is the case with human relationships. The visitor is therefore invited to walk in space, to wander and along with the lines to be mentally mistaken, to think and to comprehend through these lines. Please note that the project has been set up in a cave in Paphos and is waiting until the end of the year to admire it. I hope the proposal is interesting to you.
